Greetings Rob and Kevin, really enjoyed hearing, or should I say listening, the two of you chatting together.
For me, there is a sense of a perfect storm, people being overwhelmed, having a lack of time, a lack of empathy, a lack of safety (in the workplace and at home), and feeling uncomfortable, ill-equipped, to have a ‘proper’ (deep and meaningful), conversation. The result being the rise in suicide, mental health issues, loneliness, as well as increased sickness, presenteeism, and the feeling of disconnection at work. This all started because, (not in all situations, of course), through a lack of listening, individuals not feeling heard, feeling valued, feeling that they do not matter.
If we were all to start travelling the listening road we might start to make a dent into those results.
